Rigatoni with Sausage and Peppers
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 Pound Mild Italian sausage (cut into two-inch pieces)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 each: red, yellow and green bell pepper julienned
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 jars Stancato's Premier Sauce
1 Pound rigatoni or penne pasta
3 tablespoons fresh chopped basil
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  1. In a large skillet heat olive oil and cook sausage pieces halfway (approximately 6 minutes).
  2. Add garlic, peppers, and onions and cook until the sausage is completely cooked and the onions are partially translucent. (Approximately 6 minutes)
  3. In the meantime…
    Heat Stancato's Premier Sauce in a medium saucepan over low heat stirring occasionally.
  4. Cook the pasta according to package directions, drain and combine with Stancato's Premier Sauce.
  5. Place sauced pasta in a large serving bowl, top with sausage, peppers and onions, and garnish with chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Serve with crusty Ciabatta bread and one of Stancato's Signature wines.
